How do I take a stat like VPIP and create a custom version that only includes when there are 2 players? This is for when I get to the heads up portion of a STT. Thanks.

If you're looking to see heads up only data on the HUD all you need to do is go into Hud -> Edit Hud Options and in the Number of Players Filter add a line for 2 to 2. That will ensure you'll only see heads up data when heads up; no custom stats are required.

I'd like to see the heads up stats as well as the overall stats on my HUD popup.

The only way to do that is to then create custom stats for every stat you want at every table size you want and to not use the number of player filters. See this guide for the basics on custom statistics creation and this guide for a deeper walkthrough. The latter was written for PT3 but the techniques all apply to PT4, the interface is just slightly different.

Can someone post the code for a custom stat of VPIP so that it only includes 2 players? It would save me some time if I could just use that as a reference to make the other stats.

You'd change cnt_vpip to sum(if[cash_hand_player_statistics.flg_vpip and cash_hand_summary.cnt_players = 2, 1, 0])

For each column you'd just be adding that there are two players. For tournaments it's tourney_hand_summary.cnt_players = 2 (instead of cash_hand_summary).

When I try the below code it says "Invalid Value Expression". Any idea how to fix it? Thanks

Are you in the Columns section? That validates for me as a custom column but it won't validate as a custom stat's value expression as it's not a column name.

I came across this inquiry and noticed kraada's response that adding a Number of Players filter for two players "will ensure you'll only see heads up data when heads up". By adding "when heads up" to this sentence, this makes it sound like this filter will make your HUD switch from overall HUD stats to heads-up HUD stats as soon as you reach heads-up. Is this what kraada meant and what this filter enables the HUD to do, or was this just awkwardly phrased and do these instructions only lead to your HUD showing only heads-up stats at all times?
