total HH?

Postby rabbitlover » Wed Apr 22, 2009 7:33 pm

In PT2 how do you tell the Total # of hand histories in a database?; not just mine, but observed hands, etc.

I'm sure I have looked right at it several times, but cannot find it now.

Thanks

On the summary tab of the stats window, the top data section will tell how many total hands are in the database.

Thanks Pat

I seem to recall that with Access the max # of hands is around 400k, is that about right?

It depends. The size of the database file can be 2gb - that's about 250,000 full ring hands. If you are storing 6 max or other short-handed games you'll be able to get more.

Follow up to the total hands question, I found the total hands for the ring portion of the database on the Summary tab; but where are the total hands for tournaments?

Thanks again

There really isn't a way to tell this for tournaments. If you double-click on the database description text at the top left corner of the stats window it will open a window to tell you the size of the database file. If you are getting close to 2gb then you will know the database is getting full.
