The (x/y) on the tooltip

When I hover the mouse cursor over some stat on the HUD, I often see two numbers in parenthesis like (5/10) meaning AFAIU that there were 10 opportunities to do something and 5 was done, i.e. the stat was calculated as (5/10) * 100.0 if it was a percentage figure.
However, on my custom stat I don't see this. I only see the end result, for example 50%.
What determines when PT3 HUD shows the (x/y) on the tooltip? Why doesn't it show the value at times? How does it know which numbers to show? Does it parse the formula somehow? Could I modify my stat somehow to enable the (x/y) values to be shown?

You need to create your stat so that it is formatted exactly like:
( X / Y ) * 100
including the spacing - once you do that, the times and opportunities should display.

Average Preflop Allin Equity
(val_p_equity / cnt_p_allin_valid) * 100
I am confused what the x/y popup signifies for this default stat considering the columns used?
5/10 would mean we had 10 cases where hand was allin and thus showdown. Not sure what the 5 would mean?

The numerator is the total equity you had in all qualifying hands. The denominator is the number of qualifying hands.
So for example if you had 10% equity in one hand and 60% equity in another it would be (.7 / 2) * 100 or 35% average equity.

How does it round for the x/y popup in this stat. I have a case where x/y popup displays 0/2, while PF equity is 39%.

It likely rounds using the normal rules of math where if it's under .5 it rounds down.
