new vpip stat

hi all ...

just a single question..

if i want to make a new stat in pokertracker. like..

i have an vpip value.
if vpip is <45 then (new stat) is equal -1
if vpip is between 45 and 55 then (new stat) is equal 0
if vpip is >55 then (new stat) is equal 1

i know ofcause that i can color code all numbers. but thats not what i want.

so how do i make a new stat that can give vpip either -1 , 0 , 1

one way i thought of was to use an if..else statement. but this one can only give out 2 values. false or true. and i need 3 values.

You can "nest" IF statements so that you can get a 3-way output.
Probably the easiest way is to make a copy of the existing VP$IP stat and change the Format Expression to display 1, 0 or -1 based on the Value Expression, like this:

if( (cnt_vpip / cnt_vp_opp) < 0.54, -1, if( (cnt_vpip / cnt_vp_opp) > 0.55, 1, 0 ) )
